1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using TubeNotes ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms are provided by kyusung studio ("we", "us", "our").
2. Description of Service
TubeNotes is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence (GPT-4 via OpenAI) to generate structured summaries of YouTube videos based on their transcripts. The App provides:
- AI-generated video summaries with timestamps
- One-click copy of summary content
- Summary history and search
- Re-analysis via rewarded advertisements
3. No Affiliation with YouTube
TubeNotes is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with YouTube, Google LLC, or their subsidiaries. YouTube and the YouTube logo are registered trademarks of Google LLC. Use of YouTube through this App is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service at youtube.com/t/terms.
4. Usage Limits and Free Credits
The App operates on a credit-based system:
- Free daily credits are provided automatically upon app launch
- Additional credits can be earned by watching rewarded advertisements
- Credits are consumed only upon successful summary generation — failed requests do not deduct credits
- We reserve the right to modify the number of free daily credits at any time
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use TubeNotes only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the App to summarize content that violates YouTube's Terms of Service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code
- Use automated tools to interact with the App (scraping, bots)
- Resell or redistribute AI-generated summaries as your own original content without disclosure
- Use the App in any way that could harm, disable, or impair our servers
6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Summaries are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated summary. Do not rely on summaries for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Always verify important information with the original video or authoritative sources.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of kyusung studio. AI-generated summaries are derived from YouTube video content; copyright of the underlying content belongs to the respective video creators. You may share summaries for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes with proper attribution.
8. Advertising
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the App, you consent to the display of such advertisements. Rewarded advertisements are optional and only shown when you choose to earn additional credits.
9. Availability and Modifications
We strive to provide continuous service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We are not liable for any disruption to the service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, kyusung studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any).
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Local data stored on your device remains under your control.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
